My mom got a few Gucci bags from Italy probably 10 years ago or more, and she didn't use them, so she put them away and was telling me about them and then my dad went and looked for them in a box, and he found like 4, and I got one that is kind of like the Louis Vuitton neverfull in shape, and its black, has the Gucci logo on it, and I was just wondering how to tell if a Gucci bag is real or fake. Gucci bags are soooooo cute. You should look for a cute one that looks like her style. Dont get one thats YOUR style. She might not like it as much. You could always get her Vera Bradley or Coach, but if she really likes Gucci then yes get her one.

Odds are if you bought it on eBay - it's fake. Even sellers that look legit with hundreds of feedbacks still peddle fakes on eBay everyday. As always, the price is telling - if you got a deal that was to good to be true, it probably is. However, no one has to know it's fake - carry it will pride and no one will be the wiser :)

Even fake bags have the tag I have a real prada, Dior, and chanel purses. Only because when you buy it there is a small card that says "It's offical or it's real" without that no it is not real.

I just received an early Christmas gift from my cousin. It's a Gucci handbag and she says it is real, but to me it feels a little stiff and cheap. I do not find her to be the type of person to dole out a few hundred dollars for a relative she only see's at holidays. Are there any tell tale signs that I would be able to recognize to know if the bag is fake or not ?
fake bags are not made for their quality they're made for the replication look of the expensive bag. Fake bags will be very stiff, made of fake leather, and often have a very cheap material on the inside as a liner.

Chinatown, NYC! Hahaha. For real, I went to a store and bought a $20 Dolce&Gabbana bag :) Really cute though, and no one knows it's a fake.
But be aware that all fakes are cheap in quality. I dropped my bag once, barely, like a 2 inch drop, and the jewels on the closing clap fell off :( lol
