Tiffany Co Jewelry - fake tiffany necklace2
Is this a fake tiffany necklace?
recently for my confirmation i received a long-chain tiffany necklace. coincidentally, so did a lot of my friends. we were looking at each others and stuff and we noticed that the tag on my necklace was different than everyone else's. also, on the numbers listed on the tag there's an M before the numbers. it's a heart tag, but it's shorter and fatter than my other friend's ones. it says on it:
please return to
tiffany & co.

this is my first tiffany item i ever got so i don't know if this is fake or not because a LOT of my friends have this necklace and mine is the only one different than there's. does anyone know if this could possibly be fake? i don't want to ask my mom if it is because she bought it for me and i don't want to be insulting and all high-maintenance like, because i'm not. thanks so much :]
well from what i know...The heart charm on the toggle necklaces is NEVER engraved with "return to tiffany", Tiffany doesn't make an engraved charm toggle necklace. Only the "lifesaver" part of the necklace is engraved with "tiffany & co". If the charm on your necklace says "please return to tiffany" its FAKE!!!!!!!!!!!
The back of the heart should have Tiffany & Co 925 smoothly engraved at the very top of the heart.
look at it really good. are the links really smooth? they should be smoothed out and soldered and not just pinched together tightly..you shouldn't really notice the line.....if it's real....it should have a good weight to it...and be very soft to the touch
but from what you described chances are that maybe none of your necklaces are authentic Tiffany's....
but without a good photo there's no way to tell 100%
