Does it matter how often you use it or as to what type of weather it is exposed to?
It does matter how much you use it. I have a bag that is a year old with little patina because I keep it in it's sleeper and don't use it often. I would say if you use it regularly it begins to patina within a couple of months...but gradually. Weather must have something to do with it also. None of my LV bags have the real dark patina, but I only started buying them within the last two years.
